Does gooseberry have its own studio?

Yes, Gooseberry has its own fully equipped photography studio with locations in Toronto and Port Hope. There is no additional fee for using Gooseberry's spaces for your photo session -- it's automatically included in your booking.

Gooseberry also shoots in a number of other beautiful spaces, locations and studios throughout Toronto and the GTA (for which each individual space's rental rates will apply).

does gooseberry travel for photoshoots?

Yes, Gooseberry is always happy to travel for an inspiring project. Please note that travel and accomodation fees will apply.

Do I get to choose my final photos?

Yes, you choose the exact images you would like for your final collection.

does gooseberry provide hair and makeup?

We are delighted to be partnered with an extremely talented hair and makeup artist who we'd be happy to refer you to for your project. They work with all skin types and hair types and make the makeup experience something fun and low-stress.

I need photography, but I don't know where to start?

All Gooseberry photoshoots come with a pre-shoot consultation. In other words, we have a meeting before shoot day to chat through your ideas, the visual goals of the shoot, styling and the shotlist. Art direction is provided for you, which means that we listen to your ambitions and then bring creative concepts to the table for you to choose from. After that we offer support in pulling the whole shoot together, including the itinerary for the day.

I feel too awkward/nervous to have my photo taken, what do I do?

Honestly, pretty much every single person who comes through our studio doors feels the exact same way. It’s totally okay! Laura's gentle directing style and intuitive approach to shooting captures individuals at their best in a way that is comfortable, fun and has you excited about the results! She'll help you help you feel confident and relaxed in your shoot.
